    i like! i came through southern illinois last week on the way back from the big west. pretty much from st. louis to mt. vernon there was storm damage. i had never seen so much flattened corn in my life. and we ran out of gas IN mt. vernon, so we were stuck there for 2 hrs fighting for gas at the only gas station open--which was running on a generator. apparently we arrived 7 hrs after the tornado!

    sadly, i thought it was really neat.

    i'm glad we missed the tornado...i can't imagine all the damage to the crops.
    Glad you guys made it through okay!
    Ah the joys of traveling, gotta love it, generators and all.
