Connecting connections

One day I hope to be 86. And if I do happen to live to that age, I hope that I can look back on my blog to help me with some of the names that always seem to get fuzzier as the years roll on. *Note, this post may resemble the "Ahab begat so and so, and so and so" excerpt from the Bible.*

Conie Frances, also known as MaMa, was born April 3, 1921 to John & Marie(nee Yarborough) Patterson in Lanford, SC. She was the third little girl to be born into a family of seven children. Conie's oldest sister was Evelyn, who we lovingly called "Patsy". Next was Jack, then MaMa. After MaMa was Polly, Herbert and baby Joan.

Conie grew up to the ripe old age of 16 and married her hometown sweetheart, Homer Clement Prince (who just lived down the road a piece). Conie and Martha spent many afternoons at Homer's house, talking with his Mother, Orrie... who we would later call "Princey". Conie loved her mother-in-law. She still claims that Princey was the sweetest woman she had ever met. She loved her dearly, and they were very close. Conie and 18 year old Homer, had four children together spanning from the mid 1930's all the way to their little surprise baby in 1958. Conie's children were Jean, Jimmy, Mickey, and Dale. Jean was the first grandchild to John & Marie and was loved by all of Conie's brothers and sisters. Jean was a little girl when Homer went off to war and she and Conie went to live with Patsy while their husbands were gone. Conie helped run Patsy's dairy farm, only with the aid of one older gentleman and a few German soldiers.

Jean grew up and married Gene, they live in Laurens, SC. They had three children. Tim, Laralynn and Mary Patterson.
Tim is married to Cami. They have two girls, Amelia and Anna Britton.
Laralynn is married to Brian and they have three children, Callie, Haymes and Collin.
Mary Pat is married to Jim, they have two, Kendall and Parker.

Conie's next child, Jimmy, died at a young age. Conie and Homer took care of him in their home until his death.
Conie's other son, Mickey is married to Jackie. They had one daughter, Yvonne who also passed away very young. Yvonne had two children, Sarah Catherine and Jack.

Conie's youngest child, Dale is married to Mitchell. They have two children, Lauren and Grant.
Lauren is married to Heith. Lauren is also the author (just a note in case I forget who I am.)

Patsy and her husband had three boys who would also grow up on the dairy farm. John, Robert, and Charles. John, who lives in Virginia, married Lynne and they have two children, Meredith and Derry.
Robert married Brenda and they have three girls, Julie, Andrea, and Ruthie. All three girls are now married.
Charles and Carol who live on a dairy farm in Tennessee, have three children as well, Veronica, Eric and Alex.

Jack married Beulah and together they had a daughter, Becky. Becky married Allen and they have two children, Lee and Ryan.

Martha married her hometown sweetheart as well. She and Albert had one daughter, Susan. Susan has one son, Ralston.

Polly married Henry, and they had three children. Katherine, Margaret Ann, and Hank. Katherine married Jim and they live in Newberry, SC.
Margaret Ann is married to Dennis, she has two sons, Ross and C.J.
Ross married Marley and they live in Boiling Springs, SC.
Hank is married to Joann, they have a daughter Rebecca. Hank also has a son, Garrett and a stepson Christopher.

Herbert married Louise and they had two children. Jane and Maxcy.
Jane had two children, Lisa and Jarrod. Jarrod passed away at a very young age.

Joan married Strick. They had three children, Marie, Pat and Merri.
Marie is married to Dale, and they have three children. Jenna, Jessica and Lindsay. They live in Camden, SC.
Jenna married Allen and they live in Spartanburg, SC.
Merri has two children, Allison and Christopher.
Allison is married and has two small children. Christopher is also married and is expecting a baby.

So that's the Patterson tree...most likely a boring post to the audience. But I'm proud of myself for being able to match everyone up and name most of the names.
