Parkin as the new Bates?

There's a new Norman Bates in town. Well, in Brooklyn actually. Thomas Parkin found a ghoulish, yet clever way of collecting extra money from the government--by dressing as his dead mother. Tom, like Norm, wore a wig and some of his mother's dresses to visit the bank and run daily errands. Adding to his monthly disability check, he also raked in his mother's social security checks. When questioned by police, "she" sat quietly and cooperated, while breathing through an oxygen tank. She was very polite and answered all of their questions, even covering for her son, saying he was not at home. Nobody would ever believe she could cook up such a situation, why she wouldn't even harm a fly!
