Virginia is for Haters

Before the old man made the trip to Chicago today, we spent the week exploring our Virginny surroundings. We found a great spot for a day hike on the Appalachian Trail in the George Washington National Forest.
The Three Ridges circuit of the trail led us across a swinging bridge over Harper's Creek. Venturing onto the Mau-Har trail, we found several small waterfalls to take a break and let Dolly swim around. We passed three hikers on their way to the Priest Wilderness area, stopping briefly to give the Donk a well deserved pat.
She persevered with her Kelty Chuckwagon, carrying her own water bowl and snacks. Needless to say, she snoozed like a babe all the way home.
Besides a game of mid-week mini-golf, some margaritas with our Richmond comrades, and a visit to the drag strip, we laid low and enjoyed what was left of a small vacation.

Dolly and I guard the fort for one week before his return, and in the meantime we're transforming Hee-Haw into something a little more sinister...in layman's terms, we're tricking the truck. It behooves me to announce that in the event of this transformation, Hee-Haw will now be known as "Lil Hee".
