It's that time. Illinois' (without the "s" Enterprise rental car lady-thank-you!) leaves are in full fall foilage, and they make a great backdrop along the Rock River--makes me think I'm driving along in Sleeping with the Enemy --- I know, morbid, but for some reason that came to mind. It's really beautiful here, seems to sugarcoat the asshole atmosphere that we seem to encounter everywhere we go WITH the exception of a few choice locations in our small town of Byron (naturally!)

And with the leaves falling outside and the kids screaming on the playground, it can only mean one thing, it's time for the annual Halloween Harvest Hoedown Hayride here at Lake Louise Campground...oh the bossman is fit to be tied. We packed up the camper at the fanny crack of dawn and moved 00000.44 mile to site #126 (electric / water hook up only, mind you!) from our lovely full hook up site that we had camped on since September 4....only because the annual campground clubhouse society was gathering up their toddies to get on up to Lake Louise this weekend (THIS WEEKEND ONLY!) for some good old fashioned Great Lakes fall fun...so we moved, didn't bitch, didn't act as if we were from Alabama. (And of course the guy who IS from Alabama did get to move to full hook up, so seems to me that if you bitch and you're from Alabama you'll get what you want because obviously they are scared you'll do something drastic like assasinate Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
But, the camper is facing a different direction and you'd be amazed at how different it makes things---even Dolly is happier! We pretend we've moved to another city!
Onward St. Olaf, onward we go!
