Dolly & the bossman dream on...

Today the bossman and I checked out the World Championship Wheel Standing Competition at the Byron Dragway. I got a few snaps, but only before my poor little camera died--double A, all the way. The bossman promised me a new camera with his new found pocket change, this time with a long lasting lithium like the rest of the kids have, now I too will have a cool skateboard.


The first car to drag was a 60's Volkswagen Beetle Bug...smokin...but had a hairy rollover at the end of the strip, totaling his car--causing major headaches later when he will try to find original replacement parts for his passenger side fenders. Driver=okay, so the race went on! Too cool!


Most of the Chevelles had a bad day--the Camaros and Novas kicked usual ass, but a lot of the machines were flopping right at the green light. My favorite snap of the day was of this Camaro--this guy is infamous in the Wheel Standing competition.
The next Camaro blew a head gasket at the end of the track, causing a major delay, causing the bossman to get a headache and decide that sleep was much more important seeing that long 12 hour shift ahead of him tonight, so we retreated to the caboose. Just one more day of all the insanity here at the campground and we'll have it back to ourselves. Sheesh.
