The old man will make his final trip to Palo Verde early tomorrow morning. I'm still not sure he'll make it to the end of the day without climbing on a table and shouting a few Norma Rae inspired quips to the boilermakers staying behind.
We survived, I didn't think an Eastern people like ourselves would ever make it here in this climate for as long as we did. But, we made it. Jaded and scorned, we will pack our small mobile abode and face the endless white line ahead of us.
I've anticipated this day for almost six months, and only now is it somewhat a sobered reality. Many thanks to Westinghouse and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers (and so on) for continuing to sustain our comfortable existence.
