When the backcountry was the backcountry. These are unknown relatives of my Great-Grandmother Orrie Haymes Prince. I'm making the assumption (based on scattered information
from Conie through the years) that this photo was taken near the Cross Keys area of South Carolina and these family members were of the Bobo or Haymes clan.
I see Keith on the far left holding baby Yates, while Grant poses in his Sunday's best beside him. I can't understand why there are so many women and only one man...and five children. I know what everyone's thinking--this photo wasn't taken in Cross Keys but in Climax, Utah and my family are really Mormon polygamists.
