Driving non-stop to Iowa, we met many a weary travelers. Some on their way to Sturgis, South Dakota for the Harley rally...most in mini-vans making the annual family trip to Orlando...and in the 3/4 ton pickup, a young couple driving to pick up their dream. Fortunately we arrived in Iowa safely and on time and made it home in record time, 16 hours and 34 minutes. With circles under our eyes and swollen ankles we slowly unchained the mistress from her chariot and rolled her onto South Carolina soil for the first time in her 39 years of existence.
Meet Ruthie, the newest member of the Anthony clan:

Ruthie is a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. She arrived on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 10:30 am. I know I may sound a little psychotic but those out there who know and love old Chevy's agree--we are all proud parents when it comes to our old cars!
I've put more photos of Ruthie on the visual blog , check them out if you like ~ this is a work in progress, we are attempting to give Ruthie the ultimate Chevelle makeover through the course of our golden years. Stay tuned for more updates as we progress towards cherry condition!
